X__x.. heh so on Friday night I went to Meritus Mandarin for the Acuvue night.. it was something like dinner and dance =P but it was smart casual as requested by the other class =/ maybe everyone is too tired to really dress up for the event?
Anyway, Pei Sung and Irene could not really recognise me at first X__x because of my rebonded hair.. haha most of them commented that it looked nice and I should have done it earlier.. but to me it looks weird leh haha maybe i need time to get used to it bah..
The event was super cool, there was this tarot card reader whom I had a go at reading my love life =p and We took many many pictures lol.. the Mc was cool and the games they had for us after dinner was super fun =P our table manage to win in one of the games and the prize was a candle holder?! lol.. but they already gave us very good door gifts.. contact lens and neutrogena facial wash and etc.. lol
After the cool event, I went to Alley bar with Irene, Pam, Al, ST, Jia Feng and Hidayah. It was kinda okay i guess we had stella beer X__x *gulp gulp*
and we played certain games... lol =P
Haha later I went to stay over at Irene's house with Pamela and finally I had a chance to see her cute doggie Cookie =P lol..it was pretty nice we enjoyed ourselves chatting for almost the whole night and when dawn came, I left home to change and get ready to meet dear X__x
we went to harbour front and I was tempted to go shopping instead of Sentosa.. netherless we sat cable car to Sentosa .. so cool =P it's been really a long time since I sat in one of those things lol..
It was fun and tiring , yandao practically drag me all over Sentosa.. and later we went back to his house to rest a while before heading to Suki sushi for dinner...

and Sunday I went walking around Town with my sis,bought a belt from TOpshop at 13 dollars..

Hmm...
So no more school 0.o
but somehow I have never felt busier than these few days..
lol.. On Wednesday finally went to rebond my hair in this saloon call Papilio...near bugis.. the effects seem pretty okay now but I wanted a brighter coloring =/ now look like black my base urghz.. wonder if the effect will be long lasting .. hopefully it is good and i will go there again the next time round..
maybe next time can try perming again 0.o LOL I just cannot get use to the so straight look.. looks weird =X
After that I went shopping with my sister and I bought a black skirt, a black top... ate at kfc with my sis and its scary how once u start shopping u dun stop -__-""
We took a walk around suntec as well to satisfy my sis's craving for suntec wundow shopping then we went back to Choa Chu Kang.. diao... the Ice lemon tea in Lot One was having a sale lor... and we inevitably got sucked into the shop 0.0
End up buying one brown mini skirt, one black skirt, a top and a pair of shoes 0.0 wah.. my bank account was literally bleeding. -__-
Then my sis wanted to watch Final Destination three and she pulled me to go watch it with her....the show was great.. lots of gruesome ways in which people get killed.. but the plot was intriguing and i definitely felt satisfied watching the movie..

Oh thursday went to some clinic supposedly to get some check up but the clinic was not providing the service and I went to poly clinic instead which was totally a waste of my time. -.-
went to have lunch Burger king with my sis and took a walk around IMM...
And at evening met my dear for a movie =P
Rumour Has It.... ewww... what's with this family man.. the grandma mum and daughter .. hmm dun want to reveal the plot but the show was okay.. not that superb but it was average 0.o

lol and yandao finally get to eat the melon chocolate that he find was so so only... the lady cheated us 0.0 said it was the best selling chocolate =/ tasted nothing special...
.. hmm as I was saying .. last night my friend called me up and she talked about certain problems she faced in her relationship... I think we pretty much talked for 2 hours or more.... and we hung up the phone around 3am.. ha ha..
Hopefully.. she can get a much clearer picture in her head after all the chatting..

hopefully.. people stop taking each other in a relationship for granted and treasure what they have before anything happens.

wow... cannot believe it man.. finally no more bloody FYP to do hahahah
Today was our presentation day and I got really nervous looking at all the scrunched up faces of our lecturers.. and I think I went a bit nervous and got a few words mixed up >.< nevertheless my group mates did a great job and Dr tang was satisfied with our presentation and praised us for the report and presentation =X
The questions Dr Tang asked us was really hard and even Mrs Yeo mention that she herself could not answer the question =X weee... everything is over lol..
So glad to have Irene and Pei Sung with me =P, without the two of them dunno how I can actually go through this FYP thingy =D
heh heh gonna miss my class gers a lot =/
Anyway Clinic on Saturday was great, Mrs Tan said I did really well that day and gave me all 9/10 for the three patients =P whahaaha Love her man =X
after clinic Ms Lek treated us to Pizza hut, lol so good..... we had seafood pizza and Hawaiian Pizza but I ate one slice only because I was meeting my dear after clinic =P
Met dear ard 5 and he gave me a bouquet of cute roses.. yay yandao is so nice =D He remembers what i tell him after all =D so sweet =P
Then we went onto Changing Appetite at Marina where coincidentally yandao met like two of his working colleagues lol..
we had... nice deep fried Mushroom tempura.....
Yummy Calamari.. ( this is one of the best I ever had)
Yandao had curry set meal for main
while I stuck to my usual fish and chips.. (portion so huge -.-) eat until u die X__x
we went to arcade for a while.. =/ kof addiction 0.0 and then we went to MoMo.. heh nice we arrived quite early and dear and me watched soccer.. man U and Liverpool.. lol poor Man U they are really starting to lose a lot of games.. we had whiskey coke and the songs were pretty okay =P danced ard for a while and went home ard one plus =D
Sunday was so tiring.. man I am getting old... went shopping with my sis but just bought a pair of earrings =P heh but I liked them though did not buy much from the trip.. was really great to be out with my sis =)
Somehow pretty glad that I have a sister with me in my life ^^
Ps: Miss Lek is so sweet she made us each a card with our picture infront lol..

One bad thing to do is to postpone your Valentine's day celebration with your boyfriend.. Imagine.. like 4 people asking you the same question of...
"where you going tonight?"
Me:" Not anywhere ba.. celebrate on Weekend"
It's okay when friends ask you.. but even when the lecturers start asking you where you going to celebrate tonight..and you actually have no plans, that's it. You can feel the sadness start to creep in. Maybe it was not such a good idea to postpone it after all.
Funny thing is even though I was the one who initated to postpone the celebration, I was feeling bad enough that somehow everyone seem to have plans with their boyfriends, gerfriends, Lesbians.. you name it... It was urghz X__x
Anyway the reason why I wanted to delayed the celebration was firstly, it was another weekday.. for sure I know my boyfriend would be tired and actually dragging him all the way to town just for a quick meal and all the way back home was really kinda mean. Secondly, He was still kinda sick... Thirdly, all restaurants seriously have overwhleming queues. Lastly, I still have a test tomolo X__x
But saying all this, you start to feel sad when u see everyone carrying gifts and flowers holding hands with their boyfirends.. and for some it was a day of confession 0.0 PS , Irene and me actually saw some poor guy getting rejected at the MRT station... the ger refused to take his flowers whoa... and haha our cute Irene has manage to get another Vday gift from one of the Guy classmates again =X Last time was Ed this time it was LeeL. wow =X She really got the tao hua yun going on for her... I have so many friends but she is the one who really has a lot of luck in her love life =X wooOO
Anyway as I mentioned, I was feeling sad and all that and you know yandao being such a nice guy decide that we should at least go out.. lol so I wouldnt feel so sad. X_x
so we met at Bukit Panjang plaze.. and I saw this very nice Spectacle shop lor! I want to work there so much! X__x haiz please arrange for me to go there and work!! =/
We ate at Mac Donalds =P and yandao bought me a cute flower that I wanted =P haha It is a cute flower with a cute face =P with petals saying I Love U. lol

wow first time.... I stayed home over friday and Saturday lol...
Was really busy with the Fyp project yesterday.. haha stayed up till around 3am plus abt to reach 4am I think just to complete up my discussion part X__x....
Went clubbing with dear on Wednesday.. and hmm weirdly we ended up in Devil's Bar. The songs were alright but the live band section was definitely better than the other dancing area where there seems to be a weird mix of Rnb with techno...
The lady sure had a powerful voice 0.0
Did not really stayed for long went back about 2am =/ had clinic the next day...
Actually went because Yandao's friend ask him...
Thursday clinic wasn't that bad =D I was lucky to get nice patients and Dr K even teased me being a "bao Mu" as both my patients were small little boys X__x
Forced dear to take a trip with me to Teck Whye lol...
Friday was super tiring... had to literally glue myself to my pc to complete my fyp stuff... so glad I finally finished it.
Haha.. today was really busy at clinic... was very tired... the second patient was a 13 year old boy who was so hyper active... X__x lol I keep getting sweets from the counter to pacify him... Angie is pretty nice clinician, she talked to me and JF and SW while we were hanging abt in the dispensing room hoping we have default patients.. lol
Oh haha so cool... saw HN's ex bf... I think he still chasing her lol.... He was her second patient... and JF"s ex bf was her third patient lol... he looks pretty good.. haha I told JF she should consider getting back with him.. and she scolded me for being superficial lol =X haha " Bu Shi Kan wai biao jiu ke yi le.." <-- quoted from her lol..

Oh.. yah before I forget.. ST is so cool man =D She drove to school today.. so she drove me and PS to the MRT.. SO COOL LOR.. FIRST TIME I AM BEING FETCHED AROUND IN A CAR BY A YOUNGER GERFRIEND =D.. man so awed by her ^^

10 Ways to Poison Your Career

It takes anywhere from three to 15 months to find the right job -- yet just days or weeks to lose it. Here are 10 traits that are career poison:
1. Possessing Poor People Skills
A little likeability can go a long way. Studies by both the Harvard Business Review and Fast Company magazine show that people consistently and overwhelmingly prefer to work with likeable, less-skilled co-workers than with highly competent jerks. Researchers found that if employees are disliked, it's almost irrelevant whether they're good at what they do, because other workers will avoid them.
2. Not Being a Team Player
No one feels comfortable around a prima donna. And organizations have ways of dealing with employees who subvert the team. Just ask Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver Terrell Owens, who was suspended for the 2005 season after repeatedly clashing with and taking public shots at his teammates and management. Show you're a team player by making your boss look like a star and demonstrating that you've got the greater good of the organization at heart.
3. Missing Deadlines
If the deadline is Wednesday, first thing Thursday won't cut it. Organizations need people they can depend on. Missing deadlines is not only unprofessional, it can also play havoc with others' schedules and make your boss look bad. When making commitments, it's best to under-promise and over-deliver. Then, pull an all-nighter if you have to. It's that important.
4. Conducting Personal Business on Company Time
The company e-mail and phone systems are for company business. Keep personal phone calls brief and few -- and never take a call that will require a box of tissues to get through. Also, never type anything in an e-mail that you don't want read by your boss; many systems save deleted messages to a master file. And we can't tell you how many poor souls have gotten fired for hitting the "Reply All" button and disseminating off-color jokes -- or worse yet -- rants about their boss for all to see.
5. Isolating Yourself
Don't isolate yourself. Develop and use relationships with others in your company and profession. Those who network effectively have an inside track on resources and informationm, and can more quickly cut through organizational politics. Research shows effective networkers tend to serve on more successful teams, get better performance reviews, receive more promotions and be more highly compensated.
6. Starting an Office Romance
Unless you're in separate locations, office romances are a bad idea. If you become involved with your boss, your accomplishments and promotions will be suspect; if you date a subordinate, you leave yourself open to charges of sexual harassment. And if it ends badly, you're at risk of everyone knowing about it and witnessing the unpleasantness.
7. Fearing Risk or Failure
If you don't believe in yourself, no one else will. Have a can-do attitude and take risks. Instead of saying, "I've never done that," say, "I'll learn how." Don't be afraid to fail or make mistakes. If you do mess up, admit it and move on. Above all, find the learning opportunities in every situation. Remember, over time, risk-aversion can be more hazardous to your career than error.
8. Having No Goals
Failure doesn't lie in not reaching your goal, but in not having a goal to reach. Set objectives and plan your daily activities around achieving them. Eighty percent of your effectiveness comes from 20 percent of your activities. Manage your priorities and focus on those tasks that support your goals.
9. Neglecting Your Image
Fair or not, appearance counts. People draw all kinds of conclusions from the way you present yourself. So don't come to work poorly groomed or in inappropriate attire. Be honest, use proper grammar and avoid slang and expletives. You want to project an image of competence, character and commitment.
10. Being Indiscreet
Cubicles, hallways, elevators, bathrooms -- even commuter trains -- are not your private domain. Be careful where you hold conversations and what you say to whom. Don't tell off-color jokes, reveal company secrets, gossip about co-workers or espouse your views on race, religion or the boss' personality. Because while there is such a thing as free speech, it's not so free if it costs you your job!

2. Not Being a Team Player
No one feels comfortable around a prima donna. And organizations have ways of dealing with employees who subvert the team. Show you're a team player by making your boss look like a star and demonstrating that you've got the greater good of the organization at heart.
3. Missing Deadlines
If the deadline is Wednesday, first thing Thursday won't cut it. Organizations need people they can depend on. Missing deadlines is not only unprofessional, it can also play havoc with others' schedules and make your boss look bad. When making commitments, it's best to under-promise and over-deliver. Then, pull an all-nighter if you have to. It's that important.
4. Conducting Personal Business on Company Time
The company e-mail and phone systems are for company business. Keep personal phone calls brief and few -- and never take a call that will require a box of tissues to get through. Also, never type anything in an e-mail that you don't want read by your boss; many systems save deleted messages to a master file. And we can't tell you how many poor souls have gotten fired for hitting the "Reply All" button and disseminating off-color jokes -- or worse yet -- rants about their boss for all to see.
5. Isolating Yourself
Don't isolate yourself. Develop and use relationships with others in your company and profession. Those who network effectively have an inside track on resources and informationm, and can more quickly cut through organizational politics. Research shows effective networkers tend to serve on more successful teams, get better performance reviews, receive more promotions and be more highly compensated.
6. Starting an Office Romance
Unless you're in separate locations, office romances are a bad idea. If you become involved with your boss, your accomplishments and promotions will be suspect; if you date a subordinate, you leave yourself open to charges of sexual harassment. And if it ends badly, you're at risk of everyone knowing about it and witnessing the unpleasantness.
7. Fearing Risk or Failure
If you don't believe in yourself, no one else will. Have a can-do attitude and take risks. Instead of saying, "I've never done that," say, "I'll learn how." Don't be afraid to fail or make mistakes. If you do mess up, admit it and move on. Above all, find the learning opportunities in every situation. Remember, over time, risk-aversion can be more hazardous to your career than error.
8. Having No Goals
Failure doesn't lie in not reaching your goal, but in not having a goal to reach. Set objectives and plan your daily activities around achieving them. Eighty percent of your effectiveness comes from 20 percent of your activities. Manage your priorities and focus on those tasks that support your goals.
9. Neglecting Your Image
Fair or not, appearance counts. People draw all kinds of conclusions from the way you present yourself. So don't come to work poorly groomed or in inappropriate attire. Be honest, use proper grammar and avoid slang and expletives. You want to project an image of competence, character and commitment.
10. Being Indiscreet
Cubicles, hallways, elevators, bathrooms -- even commuter trains -- are not your private domain. Be careful where you hold conversations and what you say to whom. Don't tell off-color jokes, reveal company secrets, gossip about co-workers or espouse your views on race, religion or the boss' personality. Because while there is such a thing as free speech, it's not so free if it costs you your job!

aiks.. lol dunno what I have been busy with but the week sure flew by fast...
Went to the Chingay preview on Friday =P haha guess me and my bf and pat were standing at the wrong area should have stand closer to the host to get a good view of the performances they put up but maybe due to the screamy host we had no choice but to stand some distance away.. in the end the performers dun really perform at the spots where we stood -_______-
LOL... but the thing is there is always this segment where the lion troupe people hold very huge flags and place the pole either on thier heads or shoulders or chest right.... happen that the flags fell a number of times almost hiting us once -.-

haha then after that we were too tired to go clubbing but went to Plaza Singapura where the guys got addicted to KOF again 0.0
haha actually after playing with the alien girl character, Kula for once.. i find it quite fun too but I sucked at playing difficult levels. lol =|
Went to this coffee shop to eat at Bugis somewhere... eww fat sia =| nasty fried carrot cake was not that good too X_x
On Saturday met yandao at CCK ard the afternoon lol... he was buying 4D and he managed to persuade me to buy 4 numbers.. haha hopefully they come out tonight =|
managed to buy two shoes =P for only 20 bucks at ice lemon tea =P waahaha so happy =D
Went to his house to rot for a while and rest... then went home to put down my stuff before meeting him for dinner..
We ate at Plaza Singapura.. and Yandao was in clubbing mood again lol. dunno why maybe he really likes alcohol? lol
Went to Club MoMo.. heh now got entrance fee for guys ten bucks. but its ok la.. what I cant stand about it is the drinks very diluted... jugs one for one 35 bucks.. but its like u r paying for "expensive coke" <--- quoted from Irene lol.
The songs were so so and the nice songs did not last very long this time.. haha maybe I dunno my imagination? It seem to last longer last time... they played quite a few trance songs or something like that... neh not the kind of trance I like. =| anyway RnB is the best haha got me and my dear really enjoying ourselves... there were some pop and retro songs too?!
By the way yandao forced me to drink quite a lot of the whiskey coke.. but I am such a bad drinker lol... even though diluted.. after drinking like ard one jug.. i feel things going a bit dizzy haha but I did not concussed la just danced and danced lol.
And we went home ard two.. but it seem like quite long we were inside maybe i was kinda drunk 0.0
Reached home ard two plus and concussed on bed.. LOL only manage to wake at 7am for a bath =X
=D since long it's been such a fun night must be the alcohol's effect as well =X

Heh..
it's fast.. already the forth day of Chinese New Year.. Chu si
I went to my ah ma's house on Sunday =P We reach there ard two plus a bit caught up in the jam.. some of my cousins were around and My elder cousin J was still ard. She is the same age as my sis and finally she is going to grad from Architecture after six years of study whew..
My other cousin bought some pineapple su along which he bought from his classmate haha the guy can make sushi and stuff like that... quite nice to eat actually..
heh had nice pistacho nuts and ate a bit of chicken and mushroom soup for lunch =D
Then I headed home to nua and later haha my sis ordered canadian pizza.. for us to eat =p We had BBQ Bonaza chicken and Hawaiian Pizza.... not too bad but i thought the crust tasted funny lol..
On Chu Er... went to dear's house for dinner steamboat dinner that his mummy prepared.. haha nice =D oh no ate so much X__x Saw his bro's gf as well.. lol we are all born in the yr of pig =P same age...
Then after that got tricked by Pat into going Bedok to Glenna's house waaaa... so far... lol they played a few rounds of Mahjong which I did not join in because I was simply too amateur for Mahjong with TaiS counted in ...
Went back CCK and caught a show with my sis.. fun with Dick and Jane not too bad.. but could be better lol....
On CHu san went to my uncle's house at Tampines... wa hmm the relatives not very related and ok la was a bit bored but did not stayed long too.. 0.0

oh man. yah why am I blogging at a time like this?
I just woke up.
Had a very bad nightmare and this time the dream was about me and not my family members.
it was so real.. I actually felt the sadness seeping through my veins when I woke up and tears just rolled down from my cheeks. It was so real, so frightening, so upsetting.
I think in the dream I had a quarrel with my dear and then I said something, and after that he wanted to leave me, he wanted to end the relationship.
He refused to return my sms, never pick up when i call, and I could not get him through Msn cos he wasn't online.
It was such a terrible feeling.
It is like you lost everything u have in the world.
I felt so upset that in my dream I was crying and crying and crying and my tears just dun seem to stop..
love can make pple so fragile at times... =(
